Evergreen Update Newsletter

Dear Friends,

As this wonderful year comes to a close, we want to wish you and your
family a happy New Year and our prayers that God’s richest blessings will
be with you.

This has been a season of great miracles and hope for Evergreen
International and those we serve. The new Evergreen CD has been
distributed to thousands of church members and their leaders. The result
of the CD has been hundreds of telephone calls from those seeking
assistance and many invitations to send more information to stake and ward
councils so that further training can take place.

The articles on same-sex attraction in the Ensign and Church News, and the
new booklet from the First Presidency, God Loveth His Children, have also
had an important impact on members and have once again confirmed the need
for all of us to support the doctrines and standards of the church.

As exciting as these developments are, each one brings new challenges,
opportunities, and the need for continued resources.

The number of appeals for help we receive from outside the United States
continues to grow. The Web site information, the requests for printed
materials, and online support in multiple languages is an ever-growing
need. Also, the threats from national political organizations that seek to
limit the right of individuals to receive treatment for unwanted same-sex
attraction issues require our constant attention.

As we end the year, the Board of Trustees would like to ask you to
consider making a tax-deductible contribution so that the work can
continue. As always, Evergreen is funded by the loving support of our
friends. Without your help, this effort would cease to exist. With your
assistance, we have learned that nothing is impossible!
